Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.7 on 16 April 2026 as its most capable generally available model. The release follows a tight cadence (Opus 4.6 in February, Opus 4.5 in late 2025) and lands in a period when frontier-model news is starting to feel routine.

Bluebeam announced earlier this year that its forthcoming Bluebeam Max premium package will use Anthropic's Claude as the AI backbone for AI-powered drawing review, with the intention to support additional models over time. That single product decision puts Claude inside one of the most widely used document review platforms in AEC, which means Opus 4.7's improvements will reach drawing sets sooner than most release notes would suggest.
