The EU AI Act is the world’s first comprehensive regulation for artificial intelligence, requiring organizations to identify, manage, and document the risks of AI systems based on their impact on safety, rights, and society. It promotes transparency and human oversight as guardrails to elevate trust in AI.

If you’ve tried reading this act, it could be quite confusing as there is circular logic and lots of professional jargon. But once stripped down to its bare intent, the regulation is quite straightforward and best practice based. In fact, being compliant can become a competitive advantage to providers and deployers of AI based systems as you can indicate that in company materials like you indicate other types of compliance.
